Carpe Diem                                                   Written by: Bob Hamilton

Climbing up the ladder
Talking to myself
It doesn’t matter
If I fall, I’ll start over again

Hanging out on my ladder
Taking in the view
It could be higher
But in the end
I kind of like this altitude

Maybe I should realise
That nothing’s really new
You lay your chips, you watch the ball
And wait for the big wheel to stop turning

Up and down this ladder
Trying not to fall
Do I hang here
Or do I dare to
go for broke and risk it all

On and on, and up and up
Or so I tell myself
Or am I just delusional
And we’re just treading water

Chorus
Let’s cry ‘Carpe diem’
We go until the end
Seize this day
No more procrastinator
Make yourself
A lover not a hater
Turn your weary head up to the sky
Carpe diem
Carpe diem
